Welcome to Easy Language. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and related services. By using Easy Language, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Easy Language uses your device's built-in speech recognition (Android RecognizerIntent) to convert voice to text.
Voice input is processed on your device or by the device speech services; the app itself does not upload or permanently store raw audio files on our servers.
Translations are performed by calling third-party translation services such as LibreTranslate (or other translation providers you may configure). The text you submit for translation is sent to these services in order to provide translated results. We do not control the retention policies of those third-party services—please review their privacy terms if you need more information.
The App stores translation history (input text, translated text, language pair, timestamp) locally on your device so you can review, replay, copy, or delete past translations. This history is not uploaded to our servers by default.
We may collect anonymous usage metrics and crash reports to improve the App. This data does not include personally identifiable information and is aggregated.
Easy Language uses third-party services for translation (for example, LibreTranslate) and may use platform (Android) speech services and TTS engines for text-to-speech. These third-party services have their own privacy policies and terms. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
Local translation history remains on your device until you delete it. We do not retain user-specific data on our servers unless you explicitly use a backup or sync feature that you choose to enable.
The App is intended for general audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
Depending on your jurisdiction (for example, GDPR in the EU or CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data. Because most data is stored locally on your device, you can delete history directly within the App. For requests regarding any server-side data (if you enable backup/sync), contact us at the details below.
We take reasonable measures to protect data stored locally and during transmission (HTTPS for API calls when supported). However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure—use the App accordingly.
We may update this policy from time to time. When changes are significant, we will notify users via in-app notice.
